Luftwaffe Pilot Badge

An excellent condition early (1936) German Pilot's Badge by C.E.Juncker Berlin. The badge is the hallmark thin construction found on the early Juncker pieces. The feathering on the eagle is exceptionally crisp from the breast to the wingtips, this badge was struck early in the life of the die. The tops of the wings show a little honest wear but the wear does not break the finish. The higher areas of the wreath also show light wear, but the overall details are as crisp as the feathering, down to the veins in the oakleaves. The reverse of the badge shows all of the Juncker characteristics- the tiny domed rivets, wide pin barrel, and hand cut details to the outer wing edges.  This version of the Juncker Pilot Badge is the most desired and collectable. They are also the rarest and hardest to find. A fantastic example with natural patina

This badge has all its natural patina
